Wise Turkey Joins Editorial Staff

Rock Hill, SC | Dec 14, 2006 -- The Southerners' Guide to Home-fried Turkey today announced the addition of "Wise Turkey" to the editorial staff. Although a newcomer to the turkey-frying industry, he has spent a signficant amount of time with turkeys.

"I don't know many people who have spent more time with turkeys than Wise Turkey," said Big Turkey, editor-in-chief of the website. "He'll bring a tremendous amount of experience and know-how to the staff."

In 2003, Wise Turkey earned his name after astounding turkey-frying veterans by deep frying a 21lbs bird.

"They said it couldn't be done," he said at the 2003 event. "It just proves you have to be wise to deep fry the big birds."

Wise Turkey has spent the majority of his professional career in pursuit of live game, both afoot and afloat. In recent months, he has been refining his culinary skills under the direction of Smitty and Rusty, South Carolina's leading authorities on deep-fried turkey.
